This course is perfect for people who are beginning their journey under the children’s services umbrella. Social work students, newly approved foster carers/adopters/special guardians and ASYE staff are all welcome.
Even if Life Story isn’t your end goal or main interest, it needs to be in the forefront of all of our minds when working with any child who has or is currently spending time away from their birth parents or family.
This is during the Summer Holidays, please be assured that I understand there will be interruptions for people, children love to wait until we’re focused on something before asking lots of questions, babies need feeding and life continues. Please do what you need to do during this time, the entire presentation plus helpful handouts and examples will be sent to you after the course is complete and email support will be available for any queries or questions after.
The wording during this presentation is suitable for children and young people to hear although it is preferable they are not always present throughout just in case of any triggers.
