Brick based therapy is more than just play, it is a programme carefully designed to promote communication, collaboration and problem solving.

By creating groups of Brick Clubs, our child led approach promotes communication through problem solving and fun, boosts self esteem with project completion and improves children’s overall well-being.

For children who struggle in social settings, classrooms and places they are expected to behave in a neurotypical fashion, Brick Club is a place they can come and feel safe and secure. At Brick Club, children have structural tasks and roles to help them complete projects yet also have the opportunities to take part in flexible play when ready.

Brick Therapy encourages many different social skills such as turn taking, problem solving, collaboration, listening, eye contact and sharing.

Children are given the job of either Engineer, Supplier or Builder and must work together to complete the model. Roles are switched throughout the activity to promote turn taking and to make sure everyone gets a chance to play the different roles.
